Three transcriptions to try
At launch, new users will receive three successful transcriptions without purchasing a subscription. Recording and importing are separate from transcription. Failed, cancelled or silent attempts will not consume an allowance; the built-in sample will not count. Retrying the same completed recording will not consume another credit, and deleting a transcript will not restore a credit.
This is a usage allowance, not an auto-renewing trial. The allowance does not automatically enroll you in a subscription. No payment starts when it runs out. The final allowance rules across reinstalls and devices will be confirmed before release.
Optional monthly or annual access
After the allowance, the planned subscription unlocks additional on-device transcriptions while active. Both monthly and annual plans will provide the same core transcription access. “Unlimited” refers to transcription count; device storage, processing time and supported media still apply. Optional Highlights remain subject to Apple Intelligence device and system availability.
The exact localized price, billing period, included service and renewal terms will be shown on the purchase screen. An annual plan is charged as the full annual amount, not as monthly instalments. No prices have been announced yet.
Purchase and renewal
Purchases will be billed to your Apple Account when you confirm. Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the current period ends. Apple may charge for renewal within 24 hours before the end of the period. Manage your subscription in iOS Settings → your name → Subscriptions.
Cancel before the next renewal to avoid the next charge. Cancellation normally preserves access until the paid period ends. Deleting the app does not cancel the subscription. Apple’s applicable purchase terms and consumer law govern billing and refunds.
Restore and offline access
At launch, use Restore Purchases in the app with the Apple Account that made the purchase. Restoring subscription access does not restore recordings that were only stored on another device.
Speech processing runs locally after model setup. Purchases, restoration and periodic renewal checks need internet. If the app cannot confirm renewed subscription access while offline, new transcription access may require reconnection.
After a subscription ends
The planned policy is to keep existing recordings and transcripts readable, editable, playable and exportable after a subscription ends. New transcriptions beyond any unused free allowance require an active subscription.
